The world needs well-educated Christian leaders for today and tomorrow. New Covenant Christian School is here to help.
NCCS is solidly founded on the conviction that Jesus is Lord of all of life, including your child's education. The precious truths of the Christian faith are not simply an add-on to education at NCCS, they provide the foundation for all we do. We take very seriously the Bible's commands to bring every thought into obedience to Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to not conform to the world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). Accordingly, every subject is taught from an intentional and explicit biblical perspective, so you never have to worry that what your child learns at school is contrary to your Christian convictions. Your child will learn that God is the one true Creator (Genesis 1:1), that He created humankind as His image bearers and distinctively male and female (Genesis 1:27), that freedom is a precious gift from God to individuals, families, and nations that must be guarded and cherished (Galatians 5:1; Proverbs 14:34), that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24), that truth is objective and morality is a matter of absolutes regarding right and wrong (John 17:17; Proverbs 14:12), and that Jesus Christ is the only Savior and will lovingly receive all who come to Him in repentance and faith (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9). As an educational ministry of First Christian Church of West Frankfort, Illinois, NCCS conscientiously adheres to the FCC Statement of Faith.
NCCS knows that education is about much more than learning academic subjects. We know that education is also and especially about character, and that education is only complete when learning integrates academic content with character formation. That's why at NCCS your child's character development is as important as their academic progress. We work closely with families and churches to provide an environment that helps form Christ in every child's mind, heart, and actions. Our goal is to see every child reach their full God-given potential as a well-educated Christian leader.
NCCS carefully evaluates every curricular choice in a manner consistent with our Christian convictions and commitment to academic excellence. Our students in grades Pre-K through 6th use the Abeka curriculum in a traditional teacher-taught classroom approach. Students in 7th through 12th grades benefit from a blended teacher-taught traditional classroom approach in certain subjects and the seek-and-find approach of ACE curriculum in other subjects. This combination in the higher grades helps your child learn to balance being given information and learning to find it themselves. Our students' success with this approach to curriculum speaks for itself. Year-end testing of NCCS students in 2022-23 showed 89% proficiency in English/Language Arts and 81% proficiency in Math. The closest to our level of achievement among public schools in southern Illinois was 56.9% in English/Language Arts and 41.6% in Math (source: illinoisreportcard.com). Additionally, NCCS is uniquely positioned and qualified to offer substantive and transformative education in Christian Apologetics and Christian Leadership, so that your child will not only be well-educated but also able to articulate and defend their faith while learning how to be godly leaders of influence in service to Christ and His Kingdom.
As an educational ministry of First Christian Church of West Frankfort, Illinois, NCCS enjoys the stability of a thriving, faithful Christian community founded in 1903. Now in its 121st year, FCC is fiscally sound, debt free, and blessed with a spacious campus well suited to educating your child. Additionally, our administrators and teachers are all committed Christians and competent educators with strong ties to the community and school. Many of our team members also have their children enrolled at NCCS. One of the unique and beneficial aspects of the NCCS community is that all of our students are required to have one parent or guardian who is a professing Christian with active involvement in a biblically-based church, which helps ensure that what is learned at school is consistently reinforced at home and church.

Here are the steps to enroll your child at NCCS:
Step One: Complete the student application and pay the non-refundable application fee. (This step applies to new and returning students.)
Step Two: Ask your pastor to submit a recommendation letter. This letter must be received by NCCS before moving to the next step in the enrollment process. (This step applies to new and returning students.)

Financial Policy:
Realizing that we offer our excellent program at a significant savings compared to other Christian schools in the area, we do not have financial aid or scholarships, and there are no discounts for multiple students in the same household. However, since we began in 2021, we have never had an instance of a family that saw the value of Christian education and wanted to be at NCCS who did not see the Lord's provision for their financial needs. Christian education is a choice of eternal significance, and we firmly believe that God honors those who make that choice by providing a means to realize it. If you are considering NCCS and finances are a hindrance, we know that others have found their needs met through the following suggested avenues:
